OJUS and Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Forge Strategic Partnership

In a major development for the industrial equipment sector, OJUS Power and Technologies Pvt Ltd has partnered with Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems (HIES) to unveil a new range of industrial air compressors, specifically designed to meet the evolving needs of Indian industries.
The launch took place at OJUS’s advanced manufacturing plant in Hosur, marking the start of a long-term strategic alliance. Under this agreement, OJUS becomes the nationwide distributor for Hitachi’s industrial compressor lineup in India. This includes a comprehensive portfolio of oil-lubricated and oil-free rotary screw, reciprocating, and scroll compressors, aimed at sectors like automotive, pharma, food processing, engineering, cement, and chemical manufacturing.
The launch event was attended by key leadership figures including Ram Sampathkumar (CMD, OJUS Power), Deepa (Director Finance, OJUS Power), and Bob Ogino (MD, Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems India). The event was further dignified by the presence of Dr. M.P. Shyam, President of RV Educational Institutions, as Chief Guest, and Mr. L.K.M. Adhi, MD of Knitvel Needles and Elkayem Auto Ancillaries, as Guest of Honour.
This collaboration is not only a commercial milestone but also a symbol of deeper India–Japan industrial cooperation, reinforcing themes of technology transfer, manufacturing innovation, and localized service delivery.
“With industrial infrastructure rapidly expanding in India, the demand for efficient, dependable air compressor solutions is stronger than ever,” said Ram Sampathkumar, MD of OJUS. “Our partnership with Hitachi brings world-class technology to Indian factories, backed by OJUS’s national reach and support capabilities.”
Echoing this sentiment, Bob Ogino, MD of Hitachi HIES India, commented:
“India is central to our global growth strategy. OJUS brings both credibility and capability, making them an ideal partner as we scale in this dynamic market.”
India’s industrial air compressor market currently stands at an estimated $1.4 billion, with an annual demand of 45,000–50,000 units. With this alliance, Hitachi and OJUS are well-positioned to capture a significant share, delivering not just products, but complete lifecycle support. Customers will benefit from OJUS’s wide dealer network, service-trained workforce, and streamlined spare parts infrastructure, ensuring high system uptime and faster response times.
This partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in driving energy-efficient, reliable, and high-performance industrial air solutions across India’s booming manufacturing and infrastructure landscape.
